I met Tom on the High Line, which would be one of the best places in NYC to take pictures if it wasn't for all the crowds! We managed to find some little nooks on the High Line to step away from all the tourists walking by us to get theses pictures. The tourists seemed extra friendly this day, with at least 3 different people asking if we wanted them to take a picture of both of us, then had to explain to them we were just taking blog photos hah!
NYC TIP: PLAN AHEAD FOR PARADES!
I got lost trying to find Sophie because we were trying to meet up in the West Village, which happened to be right where the Gay Pride Parade was starting from!
After trying to figure out how to cross the parade route (the most difficult thing ever), Sophie and I finally found each other- walking through the sea of people wearing rainbow appear, it was very easy to spot Sophie!
Sophie is also a student at NYU, and had the prettiest outfit - her YSL clutch was the perfect light pop of pink with her black and white outfit.

From certain angles, Cole could 100% pass as Chuck Bass, like look at these first pictures, especially the one of him on the right of him looking up. Couldn't you just picture that actually being Chuck looking at his hotel from his rooftop!
ANYWAYS enough about my obsession with Chuck Bass... Cole is an African Art collector and totally rocks the navy and black combo! Also, Cole has MAJOR rooftop #goals, in love with his bonsai tress!

Sam's outfit pictures are a regular feature on the Proper Kid Problems blog, so she's going to be a regular feature on my blog too! Sam lives in DC, but has an internship in NYC for the summer, so we got to meet up to take some outfit pictures. We started in Central Park and then shot more in the streets of the Upper East Side. I am obsessed with all of Sam's summer outfit dress choices! (I may or may not have gone out and bought a denim jacket after I saw Sam's...)
Check out Sam's posts on her outfits on the Proper Kid Problems site here and here!
I spotted Alex from a mile away when he was walking to meet me at the Met since he was the best dressed guy around. I literally know approximately zero things about men's fashion, but today I learned what an ascot was, so thanks Alex! His ascot and pocket square went perfectly with his notebook, and then the street we walked down happened to have the perfect red door to tie (no pun intended) all of these together.

I'm SO excited to be a new contributor to Proper Kid Problems - Proper Profiles, featuring the most stylish & proper "kids" of New York City, Washington DC and more. Dean (founder of PKP) introduced me to AJ over email, and we made plans to meet up in the East Village. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find AJ - but no one else was dressed this nice in the village, so I spotted him quite easily!
We walked around Thompson Square Park and AJ showed off his handstand abilities (not shown), and then chased around all the cabs on the block to get a classic NYC yellow cab in the background of some shots. We were taking some final shots at an adorable coffee shop on AJ's block when I accidentally walked backwards into a parked car, and we knew it was time to be done!
My first semester of grad school is FINALLY over which means my camera finally got to come out of hiding! The cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens were in their PRIME so I grabbed my friend Kirstin and took an adventure to Brooklyn. It's only appropriate that my first shoot since I've moved to the city was with my same model/friend as my first shoot in Tampa! (Check out her pictures from three years ago here!)
I highly recommend taking the trip to Brooklyn for the Botanical Gardens even when the cherry blossoms aren't in season if you are looking for an escape from the business of NYC!
I'm so excited to announce that I've moved to New York City! I got into my dream school, NYU, for grad school, and couldn't be happier to be in New York!
Despite these frigid temperatures, I still plan on continuing my photography in New York!

I was helping a mom and daughter with monograms at DKM Accessories and I kept looking at the daughter wondering why she looked SO familiar, it turns out they had already scheduled me to take Kelly's pictures, and I recognized her from her instagram page! (I try to follow everyone before I shoot them so I know who I am looking for on the day of our photoshoot!)
Kelly brought along her boyfriend, Justin, and they seriously are the cutest couple ever. Kelly was very prepared with a variety of outfit options & combinations, but they would have looked just as cute no matter what they were wearing! We started at UT and then went to Hyde Park, look at how amazing the light was that day!
